In this week, I learned about how to construct the test. There are many kinds of test such as short answer, true or false, multiple choice, fill in the blank, and matching. In short answer test, I had to provide the right answer that is possible way that student will answer. In true or false test, I had to provide sentences and construct the button true and false for student to click. In multiple choice test, I provided the choices and click in front of the right answer. In fill in the blank test, I had to provide the right answer that is possible way that student will answer. And in matching test, I had to provide the choice in two part and let’s student match them correctly. Moreover, I practiced to construct and use them. It very fun and I could use it in education.

In this week, teacher taught about the development of computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). After that I learnt advantages and disadvantages of CALL. The advantage is save time, students can learn whenever or wherever, and it more interesting. The disadvantage is have to spend time to design. There are 7 kinds of CALL.
1.  Tutorial instruction was the program that gave the content to students in text, picture, audio, and all of them. After that, students had to answer the questions and they would have a feedback when the finished the task.

2. Drills and practice was the program that had only questions or problems to the students to solve them.

3. Simulation was the program that simulate situation from the truth to practice skills to the students.

4. Instructional games was the program that encourage students to learn the lesson.

5. Discovery was the program that wanted students learned from their experience.

6. Problem-solving was the program that wanted students to think and decide to do something.

7. Tests was the program that tested the student's knowledge.

In this week, I learned about false friend. It different meaning in English that look sound similar but different in meaning. After that I learnt about Applying Innovative spirit to Multimedia Foreign Language teaching. Moreover, I learnt about CALL and CAI. CALL was a computer – assisted language learning and CAI was a Computer Asisited instruction that could teach in every subject.

In this week, I learned about how to add game and video in my CALL. After that I learnt how to show picture when we point mouse at the words or sentences. Also, I learnt how to show words or sentences when we point mouse at the picture. Last, I learnt how to play sound when we point mouse at the words or sentences.

In this week, I learned about how to use program Adobe Captivate 8. First, teacher taught me to added blank project and chose the size. After that teacher taught me the way to put student’s name in my CALL. Then, teacher taught me to make the test in this program and link flame to another flame when we click back, previous, home, or any button. Moreover, this program can teach and train students. It can make us more learning and this program is helpful to me and the students.

In this week, I learned about computer Assisted Language Learning and English Language Teaching in Thailand: Overview. The main purpose was to improve or develop the learner’s competence of CALL. Last, I learnt about how to use Adobe Captivate 8 and we use this program to build CALL.

Moreover I learnt to use English-Thai parallel corpora from www. Arts.chula.ac.th. In this web has many different meaning about English to translation in Thai.

In this week, I learned about how to find the words in corpus lead. First, teacher told to install antconc program and build corpus. After that I chose the title that interesting in Notepad. And then I needed to find around 50000 words to make my corpus for next class.

In this week, I learned about about corpus linguistic  by  Dr. Kriangkrai Vathanalaoha. He taught about historical: overview that corpus began in 1897s and 1950s-1960s. in history of corpus that had two cases. And there were 7 types of corpora.1. Specialised Corpus: It was a specific information.2. General Corpus: It was a specific information.3. Multilingual Corpus:4. Parallel Corpus: It was a translate text.5. Learner Corpus: Language use crated by people learning a particular language.6. Historical or Diachronic Corpus: 1.5 million words of text from 700AD - 1700AD.7. Monitor Corpus: Continually being added to.Moreover, I learnt about BNC web and lerned to know how to find the words in corpus.

In this week, I learned about linguistics and language Teaching by professor Dr. Budsaba Kanoksilapatham from English Department, Faculty of Art, Silpakorn University. She told about skills that important for teacher that teach in English. She taught a way to pronounce the letter “h”, consonant sounds and vowel sounds. After that I did the pre-test about intonation. Moreover, I learnt about sociolinguistics that was using language in different situation. For example, Hi, what’s up ? or Good morning. In this course is very important and useful for teachers that teach in English subject. So, I could apply all of the information from her to develop my English skills.

In this week, I learned about how to added widget to my blogger. I learned to add clock, calendar, and counter for blog. Then, teacher taught me how to link friends from my blog. In addition, I learned how to create a QR code to use in my blog and also added the video that good English skill on my blog. Last, I learned about how to save and share my work on public.

I have learned about the basic of using computer for teaching and studying English language. Teacher taught me about meaning of blog. Then, I learned lot of new vocabulary such as Techie which mean a person who is expert in or enthusiastic about technology, especially computing. Technophobe which meant a person who fears, dislikes, or avoids new technology. Tech-savvy which meant proficient in the use of technology, especially computers. After that, I also learned lot of new acronyms that were used in this course. Last, I learned to find and select free template for my blog.

  • IT (Information Technology) is the application of computers to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise.
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is an extended term for information technology (IT) which stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications, computers as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage, and audio-visual systems, which enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information.
  • CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) is the use of the computer as a tool to facilitate and improve instruction. CAI programs use tutorials, drill and practice, simulation, and problem solving approaches to present topics, and they test the student's understanding. 
  • CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) is the search for and study of applications of the computer in language teaching and learning.
  • CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) is defined as any human communication that occurs through the use of two or more electronic devices.
  • TELL (Technology-enhanced language Learning) is the use of the computer as a technological innovation to display multimedia as a means of complementing a teaching method langauge teachers. 
  • WBI (Web-based Instruction) is teaching and learning supported by the attributes and resources of the Internet.
  • MUDs (Multi-user Dungeon / Multi-user Dimension) is a multiplayer real-time virtual world, usually text-based. MUDs combine elements of role-playing games, hack and slash, player versus player, interactive fiction, and online chat.
  • MOOs (Multiple Domain Object Oriented) is MOOs are network accessible, multi-user, programmable, interactive systems well-suited to the construction of text-based adventure games, conferencing systems, and other collaborative software.
